FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. HOW SOON IS OUR VIDEO READY?

A. If fast turnaround is important, we will deliver your produced video one week after order, providing media is gathered and storyline is quickly approved. The link to the stream can be shared across social media platforms, eMail, text, etc. The link may also be embedded into any website (funeral home memorial page, etc). The first 3 days (72 hours) is a collection period where you, friends and family may contribute pictures, video and sound to a dropbox address we provide.

 

Q. HOW MANY RECORDINGS FROM FRIENDS AND FAMILY DO YOU WANT?

A. More spoken stories contribute to the documentary production style. We suggest 5. Depending on submissions, we may edit the very best lines from some stories to fit them all, suggest an extension, or (with few to no recorded entries), we will create a video that is appropriate length.

 

Q. WHAT IF WE DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY?

A. We will create a script based on facts you’ve given us. We’re prepared to add professionally-voiced spoken word from prayers, poems, lyrics or appropriate excerpts from favorite authors. If client does not submit these in voice, we will read from submitted scripts.

 

Q. CAN WE REQUEST SONGS IN THE VIDEO?

A. Popular songs are not licensed for videos like these. All music used is instrumental and we’ve licensed it from talented musicians. If you’d like to submit title of a favorite hymn, we have a limited number available for no extra charge. If a friend or relative has composed and performed an original song, that may be included with written permission from the author(s).

 

Q. WE HAVE GREAT PHOTOS IN A BOX, CAN YOU SCAN THEM?

A. We can only include digital images in JPEG format.  Office stores can provide this service. We do not repair or restore old photos. The vintage quality is often fine, but if photos need altering, this is a special request for which we will charge or suggest client hire service separate from Here Forever.
